What Kind of VPS Do I Need?

1- I know tehnically what is VPS hosting but i have never used one so what kind of operating system i will use for that? Cpanel was very easy good for me so far.
2- What kind of specs (cpu, memory, os etc) i should look for when i am shopping for VPS hosting now? I really dont want to get stuck on the memory, cpu, space or traffic usage.
3- What is the difference between Linux VPS, Windows VPS and CPanel VPS? Right now i use Linux shared hosting with cpanel.
4- They say i wont really need technical service, i will be able to restart and fix many problems as i can set up as many email accounts as i want. Also i can send as many emails i want. I need more explanation about this.

I would really appreciate if you answer my questions by writing instead of giving a link which has 10 pages explanation of WHAT VPS HOSTING is.

Any VPS Hosting company recommendations would be also helpful.

Until now, i always had shared hosting but the site gives a memory error now and i need VPS hosting.

I have never had VPS hosting. I dont have (almost) any knowledge about Linux or Linux commands.
Here is what i have right now...

- Using 20gb of space but it increases fast. People can upload files to my forum so i need at least 50-100gb space.
- Avarage 100gb monthly traffic. I really dont want to get stuck about traffic limit so i want this to be pretty high also.
- Curently using 3 dbs but it will increase. The biggest db is 170mb. I want at least 10 dbs.
- Currently 200 emails per hour and it sucks so bad. I cant even send a newsletter to my members. So i need at least 1000 email sending per hour.
- Need Unlimited inode (currently using 150.000)
- Need Pretty high memory mb (i donno what i actually need about this one because my stupid hosting company doesnt tell me how much i use and what is their limit. - They just say %10 of the entire memory is the limit) I think i need high PHP_MEMORY other than server memory.
- Need Unlimited email accounts. (Currently using 3 but i will start giving out email adresses to some of my members)
- Need at least 50 subdomain (currently use like 20 or something)
- 24/7 On-Call or Online (Live) Technical service. NOT EMAIL! (Currently have)

These are what i can think of so far...

Right now i am paying about 40$ a year and i dont want to much more than that. I can go 60 or up to 70$ a year

Basically, Linux VPS and cPanel VPS are the same. Windows VPS are based on Windows platform so called as Windows VPS. IMO, you should choose a platform according to your requirements. If you are going to use Windows compatible scripting languages such as ASP.NET you should opt for Windows based servers or else you can go with Linux VPS. The CPU and memory depends on your current usage, always choose higher configuration so that your become future proof. I would suggest you to choose windows vps hosting it is much batter then linux hosting
