I wouldn't trust a company that offered your description at that price point. Maybe if it was a hobby I would, but I would never trust my business to anything lower than 50 dollars at the 1 ghz level.

You might go with it. Your interest is to pay a right ammount so the company can survive and give you decent service.

Hi,

I do not mean to be rude, but here is my take on this.

The requirements you mention are matchable and so is the price you wish to get it for….. However, you must also understand that you will also get with it a lot of headaches. Just think about this yourself, there are lots of costs that a web hosting company has to pay for, Two main costs are the server and staff mainte*****. After paying for that the company must also make a profit otherwise it will go out of business...

If the company is offering its services and a relatively low price and still making a profit (the sole aim of business) then it has to make some compromises somewhere, the compromise in this case could be cheap hardware, or worse a support staff that is not up to the mark.

So i would recommend that either you should increase your budget or for that budget, you should look for a much lower end configuration.

It will be difficult to find a host at that price point and with those specs.

Think about how the host would have to set up the box. They have to buy/lease the hardware, install the software, pay the Microsoft license fees (which are monthly), set the box up in their datacenter, and provide technical support. At the rate you are looking for, the breakeven point is so far off in the distant future that it will not be worth the hardware and labor costs.

why dont you just build your own machine and co-locate it in a data center near you ?

or

if those specs are just wishfull thinking , consider getting a windows reseller account running on plesk ( you could find this for your pricerange very easily)

I'd say colocation is the best bet in ths case. It would be even cheaper to build own server and colocate.
