Running the cheaper Basic or Premium versions would be a violation of their user agreement. Accordinding to the article, Microsoft's reasoning is 'because of security issues with virtualization technology'. Sounds suspiciously like a 'Mac penalty' cost that Microsoft is trying to justify."
