Best monthly web hosting? Cheap web host which accepts month to month payments?

I’m looking for a reliable, cheap web host which lets me pay month to month for their hosting plans.

I’m doubtful between http://www.hostgator.com and http://www.goldpuma.com . Both offer monthly hosting services and their features and prices seem great.

I want to know if you have any experience with these companies? Which of them is more preferred and why? And do you recommend another web host that accepts monthly payments?
