EarthLink utilizes Cisco and Juniper routers on its proprietary backbone network that uses redundant OC-12/OC-48 circuits. In the event of commercial power loss, emergency fuel-powered generators can continue data center operations indefinitely. EarthLink staffs its data centers 24 hours a day, seven days week. It monitors network performance from a separate network operations center in Atlanta.
EarthLink maintains data center recourses for disaster recovery, ensuring customer data integrity in worst-case scenarios, such as natural disasters.
