FastServers.Net was a division of PowerSurge Technologies, Inc. (referred to as PowerSurge), which has been in business since 1996. Up until 2001, PowerSurge's core services involved shared Linux and Windows 2000 hosting services.
In 1999 FastServers.Net was launched, providing services in its first year to 50 new international customers. In 2001 FastServers.Net refocused its products and services and launched a server division focusing on assisting other web hosting companies. Since this reconfiguration, FastServers.Net has grown considerably and now hosts over 1,200 servers; the company has leased co-location space in three facilities and has become one of the top 20 dedicated-server providers in the world. In March of 2004, FastServers.Net became its own entity to focus 100% on dedicated and co-location hosting. Thanks to this shift, FastServers.Net no longer competes with the customers it serves and is concentrating completely on products and services related to high-level hosting.
